Olivia at the Beach

Olivia at the beach

The sun-warmed sand shifted beneath my feet after that long, winding descent through dunes heavy with salt air. Waves whispered against the shore as I wandered this forgotten stretch of coast, savoring the solitude until she appeared, golden skin catching light, yellow fabric bright against weathered rocks. Her camera moved like an extension of herself, capturing everything: foam retreating over pebbles, light dancing on water, the endless horizon.

When her lens found me, I felt exposed, vulnerable. She laughed, not mockingly, but with genuine delight at my obvious discomfort.

"I'm Sarah," she said as I drew near, lowering her camera with a smile that held the warmth of the afternoon sun. "Would you mind taking a few of me?"
